This challenge gives you an opportunity to showcase some unusual, interesting insects, or arthropods which you've captured on your camera. Let's think beyond honey bees, bumblebees, butterflies etc to some of the more unusual creatures you've found. If you don't know what they are, then another member might know. Where possible, the insects or spiders should be outside in their natural environment. Macro and close-up photos welcome. Size of entry:1,600px MAXIMUM.

Some type of grub or caterpillar seemed to have got its head stuck in a Red Campion seed pod but I went back later & it had gone.
