Naturally Suspended

Challenge #106 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In nature we often see examples of things suspended in midair, sometimes for protection, sometimes by accident. Show us what you've found suspended. It might be a spiderweb, a caterpillar hanging by a single thread, an insects' or a bird's nest Maybe it's an icicle or a stalactite, a plant growing in a precarious place; perhaps a vine or branch crossing a void to form a natural bridge. Where possible, your photo should be outside in the natural world. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size: 1,600px MAXIMUM on the entry's longer side.
