Peter and Andrea, six months after first meeting sort of unplanned. This is a favorite of my "Love" series, because I find it both very authentic and technically it turned out tack sharp. Two years later I was invited to their wedding reception, where I brought my pocket P&S Fuji F10fd. Just in case. Couldnt resist shooting some - had a great time with the pro photog, who became a friend too. (That mini series can be seen on flickr, simply by googlling "nycandre wedding set")

Focal length: 50 mm
Shutter speed: 1/350 sec
Aperture: F2.8
ISO: 200
Notes: Shot handheld against a plain wall, Andrea is facing my south facing windows. Minimal postprocessing in Picasa, not even cropping. This famed inexpensive $90 lens is indeed fantastic, especially on a 1.6 crop camera like the 10D. Most of the shots turned out well enough, a selection can be seen on my flickr stream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/nycandre/sets/72157600089558273/
