Fallen white pine cones on an lake island in southern New Hampshire, U.S.
|Submitted:||Friday, 20th December, 2013 22:55 (GMT)|
|Taken:||Friday, 14th September, 2012|
|Focal length:||25 mm|
|Shutter speed:||1/60 sec|
|Notes:||Taken with a plastic Holga lens on an NEX camera. The lens creates some edge blur and corner vignetting, along with some reduction in contrast. I like that it creates a somewhat dreamy, other worldly effect, adds an element of unpredictability to the image-making process, and places the subject in a different, somewhat timeless space. Sometimes, "sharpness" is overrated.|
