This is Milk Lake in western part of Sichuan, China. This place is just a bit short of three mile high from sea level. It is a desolately beautiful place, harsh, windy, and cold. Unlike in the polluted cities of China, the air and water here could be called pure. The deeper part of the lake is turquoise in color. The shallow part of the water extends all the way to the bottom edge of the foreground. Patches of ice were already formed as it was late autumn. I have no idea why it is called Milk Lake hence I choose the title Three Mile High.
