On our first visit to our niece, a one month old infant, I was reminded of the amazing facial expressions a newborn baby is capable of, all within a few minutes.

|Focal length:||50 mm|
|Shutter speed:||1/80 sec|
|Notes:||To avoid startling the baby with a flash, I used the Canon 50mm f1.2 almost wide open. As you can see, this narrows the depth of focus significantly, but allows the photo to be almost exclusively focused on the face. Post processing included minimal exposure adjustment, white balance correction, and noise reduction.|
