While not the greatest photograph ever taken, I love the story. This memorial is situated at the edge of a field in the middle of nowhere near Chichester on the South Downs in the UK. Try to zoom in for the message but if you can't, the the memorial has the following message: "In this field on 1st November 1940 Pilot Officer Boleslaw Wlasnowolski V.M K.W Royal Air Force 213 Squadron RAF Tangmere (formely of the Polish Air Force) Died age 23 when his Hurricane V7221 crashed following aerial combat with a German ME109. He died defending Britain, Poland and Freedom"
