A moment before this shot was taken the two were in reversed positions. Hence, “sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander”. From personal observation “gender “roles” in animal societies seem less flexible than their sexual orientation (from scientific observations, in some breeds of sheep strict homosexuality among males exceeds 10%). But in human societies gender roles are defined by societal assumptions and pressures, not evolutionary pressures and therefore easily changed – at least when society is not looking.
