May 6th 2012 was a "super-moon" occurrence. The moon was the closest to earth it could have been during it's lunar cycle and it was also a full moon. In celebration of this occurrence let's see some of your astro-photography.

This was taken with a modded 40D attached to my telescope. The mod involved removal of the IR filter over the sensor which robs the stock camera of sensitivity to Hydrogen Alpha (Ha) light, which this subject as a fair degree of - the red background to the dark dusty 'horsehead'.
