On the surface this may look like a ruin and therefore fall outside our lazy hosts remit, but I'd like to challenge the surface appearance with a little information. Angkor Wat means "City Temple" , built in the city of Angkor (established AD802) during 12th century, it is the largest Hindu temple in the world. Since becoming a UNESCO world heritage site in the 1990s, it now receives in excess of 2 million visitors per year and is a vital component in Cambodia's new tourist economy. It's an active, working, temple with resident holy men, and around which is a thriving market economy with modern infrastructure (roads, water, electricity, commerce) so I'd like to submit that it qualifies.
