Hidden HDR - specific rules in this challenge.
Challenge has finished
DPR members are well aware of HDR and some of the very dramatic photographs created with this technique.
HDR solves the issue of contrast beyond the limits of the camera's sensor. You can take a high contrast scene with bright highlights and deep shadows and create an image with details and definition across the entire spectrum of the photograph. In pre-digital days (film), you would expose for the shadow details and develop for the highlights in order to produce the desired results.
Entries shall consist of a photograph where HDR was required to render a full range of tones and color. Subject matter is open, but the image should have a full range of tones or colors from highlights to deep shadow/dark areas. HDR technique should not be evident, it should be in the background and the image should appear as the photographer initially saw the image.
