Challenge has finished
Achieving creative effects using polarising filters. These devices filter out light that is polarized in a specific direction. They are used to reduce reflections from surfaces and to darken the sky. They can be used to photograph objects through glass and water. Please read all of the additional rules carefully - during the first challenge I disqualified nearly half of the entries because they did not include details of the type of filter used to achieve the shot. In some photographs, the use of a polariser may not be readily apparent. For the purposes of this challenge, it should be clear to an informed observer that your photograph was enhanced by the use of the polariser.

Corkscrew Falls, Hocking Hills Region S. Ohio. This was taken with a Nikon D3x, Nikon 24-70, and Nikon CPL. This was taken the morning after a stormy night, and the polarizer allowed me to remove the reflections on the rocks and vegetation, bringing out all the brilliantly saturated colors.
