Challenge has finished
This is a complex challenge, please read the instructions and the and the comments first.*** Enter one photo that you entered in any previous challenge, which -to your dismay- scored much lower than you expected. This challenge is to find out why. Also give a link to that particular entry and elaborate why it should hav scored better. Also enter a -dummy- photo as shown in the example below as a second picture, see for elaboration the comment in the example. Then give constructive comment on all other photos. Eventually you can enter a second improved version of your first picture by withdrawing the dummy and use that free slot. ***

I was quite disappointed in where this picture (one of my best shots IMO) placed in the "Reptiles" challenge: <http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Challenge.aspx?ID=6235&View=Results&Rows=4&Page=4>. It looks pretty sharp to me (at least the face) and the angle is not straight on boring. Also, I try to place as much importance on the background as on the subject when I shoot and thought the background here is quite interesting (while other entrees' backgrounds seemed mostly dull to me). While the foreground blurred rock may be perceived as a distraction, I didn't feel that it really detracted much from the picture (and maybe even added something to it). At times, I tend to overprocess my photos (by killing it with contrast/saturation or cropping it crazily) but not here.
