Entries should present views from the historic inner circle of a city called old town. Don't post shots from old villages. There are too many of them. A city here means a major town or capital of a region, state or country. Show us what has impressed you most. Avoid crowds of people shots taken from within a crowd - try to compose the picture by focusing on the typical archtectural highlights of the old town. People should be a nice addition - not the main subject. Avoid close up details e.g. just doors or statues - think w i d e.

The key is 19th century : this picture is taken from the 2nd floor of the Eiffel tower, its symetrical shadow spreads over Hausmannian buildings; at a distance, the Alexander III Bridge and the "Grand Palais" underline also this architectural period.
