My friend had always wanted me to come over to Vancouver, Canada. He'd had been living there for the past 2 years, and every couple of months, he would ask, "When are you coming over?" Sure enough, when I decided to pluck myself out of my comfort zone, to travel to Canada by myself, he managed to book a flight back home to Australia. So there I was in a foreign country, all by myself, with no one that I knew. Perfect opportunity to take a few photos. I had always wanted to travel to Canada, and I did it; I was at a crossroads with my life, and I didn't know what I wanted to do, or what I wanted to be. I managed to snap this away at the aptly titled Sunset Beach. Just like the art sculpture, there I was, sitting, waiting, wishing for the future.
