This was taken in Nara, Japan. Nara is famous for its park with over a thousand wild deer. Some of the deer live slightly further way from the park and they aren't exposed to as many people so they don't cut off their horns. These deer were much more shy and nervous than the ones that live in the park that are constantly approached by people.
