Photo of mate with a sailfish I caught off the coast of acapulco mexico back in 1997. Scan from 35MM film. Mate in photo relates to the old man in the novel "the old man and the sea" in that he has tanned skin and the look of someone who works hard for a living. The sailfish though smaller than the 1500 lb blue marlin in the novel still represents a trophy catch. This sailfish was boated after a 1/2 hour battle.
