Soft Clouds on Moon Rise

48th place
The more I shoot, the harder it gets. I had my big moon over the orchards and vineyards location all picked out, but it was cloudy, with the moon barely peeking through. No way to get the sharp moon over the vineyards. I'm thinking about what I can do with a gauzy moon. I figures something in the foreground. Spooky if I could find it. And I remembered this barn with the weather vanes a couple miles over. So I speed to get there. Moon is too high, so I jump in the ditch. As the moon rises, the tripod is coming down. I'm scooching down the ditch until my ankles are wet and I'm sinking in mud. Finally get the moon lined up and composed.

Focal length: 500 mm
Shutter speed: 1/5 sec
Aperture: F13
ISO: 400
Notes: Wimberly gimbaled head on Manfrotto 3221. Moon breaking from behind thick clouds into hazy clouds. Went f/13 to get as much DOF before diffraction. Wanted the lightning rod sharp because the moon was too hazy. Didn't care about vignetting with the Sig maxed at 500, did I?
