Any NON-mammal animal species of which one or both parents are pictured with one or more of their offspring. They can be in the wild, or in a wildlife reserve/zoo, or domestic/pet. As with the Mammal parent and progeny challenge as some species share parental duties you dont have to sign in blood that each adult is definitely the parent of the [same species ] youngster they may be pictured with ;)

Anna's Hummingbird

I could just get a peek at this little anna's hummingbird family from about 25 feet away, so this is a pretty hard crop. I was told that this is a lemonberry bush and it is located along the edge of the Elijo Lagoon near Del Mar. The male is of no help in the rearing of the young. This mom would fly around catching insects and return to the nest every few minutes. She did not seem to be bothered by our presence, but, if there were any crows about, she would not return to the nest until they
