3rd place
A wild Alligator came up suddenly and grabbed a Snowy Egret that was among a group of wading birds feeding in a marsh beside the Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina. The gator swam with the bird in it's jaws for a bit before settling in along the marsh grass to consume it's catch.
