Our very first experience of the Tongariro Crossing... not in the best weather. But definitely memorable. The track is about 18km long (elevation change: 720m) and it usually takes us just under 6 hours. It is listed by many in the top 10 day treks in the world. Togariro National Park, New Zealand.
