Your Favourite Image Of The Week 5 ( 06/08/2010 - 12/08/2010 )
Challenge has finished
Quite simple really, all you need to do is submit your favourite image of the Week. Images must be taken within the seven day period shown in the title. The weeks first day will ALWAYS be the Friday announcement date and the last day for image taking will ALWAYS be the following Thursday just before the submission phase begins. All images shot within the week of the submission phase will automatically be disqualified with no exceptions. The simple reason for this is that they would of course be eligible for the next Favourite of the Week challenge. A description of why the image is your 'Favourite Of The Week' is encouraged BUT NOT mandatory. Nudity will ALWAYS be disqualified , Horrific & Gory pictures will ALWAYS be disqualified. Only DIGITAL camera images ( from any brand of Camera) will be accepted. The Image must have been taken by you.

It is estimated that 80,000 people participated in this event. It was a warm sunny morning. A lot of people had been waiting in the sun for long duration. Therefore as soon as the walk began, people started to take off their T-shirt and toss it over the fence.

Notes: | To achieve the motion blur of people on such a sunny morning is challenging. I set ISO to the lowest, aperture to the smallest, and explosure compensation +1.33. I took the photo hand held because I didn't bring a tripod. The photo was over-explosed for obvious reasons - slow shutter speed and intentional explosure compensation. It's corrected in Photoshop. |
