My Other Camera...

Challenge #1 in the Engineering series. Hosted by Atrin.
Challenge has finished
Time to kick off the Engineering Series. Our first challenge is to photograph a remarkable and beautiful piece of engineering that you use regularly: your camera. In this challenge you are to photograph your other camera, as a beautiful and living piece of engineering. Let your imagination go wild, treat the camera as a living breathing entity. Don't just sit it on a table and snap a picture of it. Your camera witnesses a lot in this world, it explores the world with you. It is your silent and trusty companion. It's a lot more exciting than you may think it is.

54th place
This fully mechanical sturdy piece of metallic precision has outlived every electronic pretender I owned. It survived 13 years of mothballing when I became enamored with an autofocus Olympus which expired 3 years ago. I expect it to outlast my Nikon D5000.
