Durin the D-Day remembrance july 2004 at Omaha beach, France, I took this pic of a young American soldier. They expected a lot of guests to see and hear Bush spea klater that afternoon. All those empty chairs and only the slodier sitting there with the stars and stipes in his hands instantly grapped my attention. A Dutch newspaper paid me some good money for it and I won a photoconctest with it.
