My wife bought me the Canon A5 Zoom in 1999. This was one of the first pictures I took with it at the NC State Homecoming football game. The camera was fantastic for its time but it was expensive at about $450. It had a wonderful 28mm to 70mm F2.6 - F4.0 zoom lens. They just don't make the lenses like they used to. It also shot RAW which was pretty rare for a camera in 99. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_a5zoom.asp
