A Man's Reach Must Exceed His Grasp

Challenge #35 in the Telling the Story series. Hosted by CharlesB58.
Challenge has finished
Poet Robert Browning penned this famous quote. The meaning is debated, but for the most part is thought to mean that we must always have an unseen goal, some lofty purpose to strive for. Some would say that if we have no purpose, we have no reason for living. This challenge is about portraying lofty ideals, goals, purposes which someone may reach for all their life but never attain. Whether the photo is a literal interpretation such as a hand reaching for something just out of reach, or more esoteric image, keep in mind the images should portray the idea that there are always things in life worth reaching for even if we may never grasp them.

Enjoyed a delightful philosophical conversation with this very interesting man this past week in the hills of Jamaica just above Port Antonio; about his life and his having strived to gain a better quality of life for his family. ...which he is yet to reach. However, as he explained he has never stopped trying.
