5th place
The may celebrations start as so often in Sweden the day before with the majbrasa - or May bonfire. This shot is taken at Gamla Uppsala - the site of the burial ground of several viking kings. The tradition in Sweden is to light these fires across the country, this is followed by the more traditional socialist activities on may day.
