Stacking images is a used for manu purposes. Combining deep sky images, star trails, noise reduction, increasing depth of field in macro photography and much more. Show here the potential of stacking images to produce images that would otherwise be impossible to difficult to produce

Taken at Marina Bay. Stacked 9 frames with different exposure (20s to 1.5s). Used Photoshop CS, brightest frame on top. Selected highlights, feathered and removed selection. This procedure was repeated again and again. Some more detailed description is here:

Notes: 1.5 s, 2 s, 3 s, 4 s, 6 s, 8 s, 10 s, 10 s, 20 s exposure times (I used aperture automatic and changing light conditions resulted in 10 s exposures twice, but showing different brightness).
