I always carry a camera when flying, but the flight's usually at the wrong time, or I'm in an aisle seat, or the weather's rotten, but on this night (flying home from France to England) there was a period of three-four minutes when the sun set in the west like I've never seen it before or since. I panicked my travel camera out of my bag and shot a sequence of images before the sun disappeared. Five minutes later it was pitch dark.
