Two recently fledged northern saw whet owl babies out on their own. Their diminutive size makes these pocket sized owls potential prey for larger predators. At the time this image was captured there were crows overhead causing them some concern. They seem to be making it a team effort looking both ways thereby guarding each others blind spot.
