This photo was taken on Blouberg (Blue Mountain) beach in Cape Town, South Africa. The skies were "other worldly" that evening. I waited for the surfer to walk past and cast a shadow in the sun's trail. The rather flat land mass in the distance is Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years of his life.
