Beyond Human Perception

Challenge #4 in the Technology Enabling Art series. Hosted by ProfHankD.
Challenge has finished
Most of the photos people take use the camera to capture what people see; the challenge is to capture things that a person normally would NOT be able to see. The subject might be unseen because it is imaged in NIR (near infrared), happens too quickly (use a fast shutter or flash) or too slowly (use a long exposure or time lapse stacking) for human perception, is seen from a place your camera can go but you can't, etc.

10th place
I captured this White-lined Sphinx Moth in flight while it was feeding on wild Thistles. To the casual observer the wings are but a blur and the moth mimics large bumble bees. At 1/1250 sec the moth's wings and motion are frozen to see it's real beauty.
