A portrait is an image of a person's face that clearly displays their likeness and may often display some aspect of their personality. A formal portrait is not a snapshot but a carefully arranged pose under effective lighting conditions. For this challenge, submit your best formal portrait of a single person looking at the camera. (Note Additional rules!)

No borders
No watermarks (e.g. signatures)
Retouch as required but no composites or distortion

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

The subject must be looking at the camera.
A formal portrait is NOT a candid shot!
No snapshots. Demonstrate that you took the time to compose the image.
If you see an entry that you feel does not qualify (especially snapshots), use the complaint button and state your case ... but do so well before the submission deadline ends.
