This image was taken from a commercial airplane flying from Philadelphia to Atlanta. This supercell thunderstorm produced a F4 tornado in the town of La Plata MD. The bulge at the top of the storm is called an overshooting top depicting an extremely strong updraft... I really wish I had a SLR at the time of this picture... Just a 1.3 mp Olympus...
