Extreme macro of a "baby" Araneus diadematus hanging in front of a rose. Silk thread visible on the left. The spider is about mm 2 long and less than two days old. Old Contax/Zeiss 50mm lens reversed in front of stock Olympus 50-150mm zoom. Hand-held camera and manual focus. FL-36R in slave mode, manually set at 1/16 power, mounted on tripod.
