Taken the day after as snowstorm which about a foot of snow fell overnight in Yosemite Valley. This iconic church always make me think of Christmas specially with all the snow around it.

re. the borders, I think that is a feature in either Lightroom or Photoshop, I don't quite remember... you just enter the thickness and color and voila, you got the border.

Another DPR Challenge friend tells me he was married in that chapel too, 1978! Not surprised it is such a Popular wedding Venue. Someday I would love to shoot a wedding there....

Thank you! Your wedding had to be very, very special! What year was your wedding and what did it looked like then? What kind of permit is required for such and occasion?

We got married in Aug 1999. It looked pretty much the same, except the trees were a little smaller. No permits required then, just reserving in advance, and actually wasn't that far out. As I recall we planned about 2 months ahead and had no issues with the date we wanted. Of course that was 22 years ago, and who knows what it is now. Ringing the Chapel bell and then spending Honeymoon in valley was just fantastic. Yes it was a very special time. Again I love your picture!
