Thank you Bodkins. Challenges are a bit of a lottery, they always were. Everyone likes to win and some likes it too much, so they probably adjust their (and phantom accounts) votes accordingly. I used to discuss it on the forum, but now I just give up and takes challenges as they are - a voting lottery and fun.
