There is a Concord parked next to the Intrepid on Manhattan's west side. My wife and I visited and you can walk through. It is probably one of the smallest planes that I'd ever been on - as I recall, I had to duck my head getting on and maybe even as I walked down the aisle.

Picture aside, this beast's carbon footprint was the size of Texas...thankfully there wasn't too many of these fuel hungry, noisy planes flying around ( 14 in total i think) happy to see this era of travel come to end, like aerosol cans and leaded fuel, all seemed good at the time, now, hopefully, we know better...end of rant.

RIP to those that paid the ultimate price of aviation travel.

A Boeing 737-800 from 1997 has a corresponding number of 2.68L/100 km per passenger, so yes, thirsty relative to other (newer) passenger aircraft.

More like a private jet in exclusiveness. And of course supersonic and sleek looking, which is what the photo conveys.
