Wow, stunning image!

You got three competing elements and yet you make it work. The trees distract me from the central element but the circular motion of the sky brings me right back to the central element. Works for me. Light and tonal range are also excellent.

Great shot - I like the trees. Wondering where you get that vantage point? Timberline must be to the left since that's Palmer and you're not far enough east to be near Meadows.

An excellent and beautiful image ...

However ... in this specific image, I think the trees are distracting and subtract from the impact of the (black) sky w/ star-streaks.

Thx for the input.
I had only done the long exposure as an afterthought that night. I was mainly doing 30 second exposures that night, but wanted to try one really long exposure.
I actually only converted it to black and white because of the light pollution from the ski resort and Portland Oregon really messed with the night sky. I tried to tame it down in post process, but couldn't so I tried black and white which I liked.
