The name of the US state of Nevada means snow clad or snowy land. It seemed well named this day.

Notes: No. 40 is a 4-6-0 ten-wheeler type, steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in July 1910. It has been on the Nevada Northern Railway all its life.
