Northern lights (aurora borealis) above northeastern Canada, seen from a plane window. It was dinner time and so the lights on board were on, but I managed to take a picture by putting the lens right in front of the window and then covering it with two pillows. Not the best, but I was so excited! My tripod was in checked-in luggage, so the 8 sec. exposure is hand-held.
