This bicolored agapostemon bee (Agapostemon viriscens) was collecting pollen on the golden rod flowers in my backyard. I've seen these bees in my frontyard, but never the back. While the distance from front to back doesn't seem that great to me, I imagine it is like going to the edge of the earth for such a small creature. But that's probably just me personifying the beautiful little bugger.
