Challenge has finished
A perennial favourite in landscape photography, the single tree on its own can lend scale to the vastness of the landscape around it, or convey a sense of bleakness and isolation. In this challenge, show us your favourite tree and how it fits into it's surroundings.

Tree at sunset in fence of car dealer, on a cloudy day. Clouds+sunset+vynil fence created the halo effect behind the tree. Had to align myself properly- this was the 5th shot, and I had just a few minutes to do it.

|Focal length:||52 mm|
|Shutter speed:||1/1250 sec|
|Notes:||Originally captured as JPEG, converted from a RAW I had to remove SAT (had it on) so the bushes around went into the dark. Tweaked saturation a tiny bit up, and because I had captured it in Adobe RGB, used LightZone to convert it for the contest - but no further tweaks (I had converted this image to a final jpeg, no more RAW source).|
