Glacier Peak is the forth tallest volcano in Washington state (USA). It's 4,000 feet shorter than Mount Rainier, however it has been responsible for some of the largest eruptions in the state. Currently the volcano is inactive with only a few very-small hot springs giving any indication of the magma below. A faint trail is visible in the dirt about 1/3 from the left edge. This begins one of several routes taken by climbers on their way to the peak, which is still 5 miles away and 3,500 feet higher.
