While Ruth is taking a break, I am running a couple of best photo of the week challenges. Enter your best photo taken after the Announce date. Please be honest. Do not edit or remove the date in the exif to bypass the DPR entry check. I am checking for the "taken date". Also, reduce the size to 2000 pixels max on both dimensions for voters to have an easier time viewing.

After scouting for an ideal landscape shot at Smith Rock for the eclipse (no I did not get THAT Smith Rock solar eclipse shot, unfortunately), I took a hike up misery ridge to kill the time and was so impressed by Monkey Face that I spent five hours there waiting for the sun to set.

| Notes: | Blend of multiple exposures exposures taken between 3-8pm for optimal lighting. Shot at f/8 and focus stacked with a couple of high ISO f/22 shots thrown in for good measure just in case the wind spoiled my focus stacking plan with the shubs in the foreground. |
