Moments before totality, a final intense burst of light spills around the lunar limb to illuminate and paint the sky above Madras, Oregon. I like this frame because it's almost the antithesis of the usual eclipse photo. The gaudy, explosive colors express something intrinsically outrageous about this natural phenomenon.
