Architectural twilight shot Challenge finished on Thursday, 15 Oct 2015 You have seen them on real estate magazines and home and lifestyle mags...those amazing shots where the lights are on and the place looks just oh so inviting. These shots are not easy and require a real balance of lighting..do some research on real estate photography and you should get some ideas...these are not night shots, the window for shooting these is quite small, and depending on location could be mere minutes. You need to plan your shot and know in advance what settings you should be on...anyway go out and give it a crack

Places of worship in a non-urban setting Challenge finished on Wednesday, 14 Oct 2015 Submit your best photo of a church, chapel, synagogue, mosque, etc. in a non-urban setting. In other words, a place to worship that is not obviously in a city environment. Make sure it is identifiable as a church with a cross, star, sign, or other religious symbol. Give your photo a title, and identify the location!
Macro - Where did it go? Challenge finished on Wednesday, 14 Oct 2015 Submit a Macro photo showing that some small life-form had been there, but it is not there anymore. Examples I just thought up: It could be miniature footprints from an insect/spider/bug, but the organism has left the scene of the crime - LOL. Or maybe, a spider web where you just can't see or find a spider there anymore. And it doesn't have to be in the animal kingdom, it can be a macro photo of *any* type of life-form that was once there - be it plant, fungi, etc.... From the author of this challenges: I strive to bring challenges to the community that are not repeats of my previous challenges. I have strove, tried very hard, to offer challenges that are fresh, new, and unique to my past challenges. It has become more and more difficult to deliver new and fresh challenges that are not repeats of my past challenges, but I consider it a challenge to myself to offer new and fresh challenges to the community that aren't the simple repeats that other challenges often deliver.
Winner: Cecropia Moth (Hyalophora cecropia)
Moths Challenge finished on Tuesday, 13 Oct 2015 Now that we have looked at the broad types here we go into the more specific. All other entries will be disqualified. Please provide a general location of where your moth photo was taken. Blank descriptions will be disqualified! Winner: Bridge over Vintgar Canyon - Slovenia
Bridging the Gap (with Border and Title suiting a postcard) Challenge finished on Monday, 12 Oct 2015 Bridges...What a marvelous invention, and what fantastic design goes into constructing them. Take a photo of a bridge, any bridge and present it in the Picture Postcards series. The choices of bridges are endless. A small wooden bridge in a garden, or a huge bridge spanning a great waterway. How about a small covered bridge? Or maybe London Bridge. I expect to see one or two at least of San Francisco Bridge too...Add a border and a title befitting the image and resize it to a maximum of 1800px on its longest side. Lets cross the gap together!
