F 8 and Be There Challenge finished on Sunday, 21 Feb 2010 The anecdotal story goes that a budding photojournalist asked his senior editor how to handle an assignment. "Shoot at F8 and be there!" was the advice he received. The rules of this challenge are simple. Shoot at F8. The image must be of an active or potentially active subject. No landscapes, flower macros, architecture, still lifes etc. They don't have to be action shots, but there must be people or living creatures in the shot that are able to move (even if movement isn't occuring at the time of capture). In Motion: Moving Water, Long Exposure Challenge finished on Saturday, 20 Feb 2010 Exposures of several seconds can turn moving water into a blur. Longer exposures can create misty oceans or gossamer cascades. If you don't have the heavy neutral density filters to do this technique properly, you can overlay multiple exposures to achieve a similar effect.

This should be SPECIFICALLY a child / children, adult / adults, animal / animals or combination of these looking towards the camera with an appropriate expression on their face. Pictures with the subject looking away from the camera or other general pictures MAY be disqualified. IF you choose to have more than one person / child / animal in your picture then they need to ALL be looking at the camera or your image MAY be disqualified. The highest marks should be given to the images that say , 'Are You Looking At Me??!!' . Good Luck!
