Say Your Goodbyes Challenge finished on Sunday, 10 Oct 2010 "Telling the Story" has run for an entire year. Many thanks to all who have participated. I've learned much from all the entries, often finding people who came up with unexpected interpretations of some of the themes. Apart from the First world war - the flying was an endless joy of discovering the pleasure of flying. Those day they could feel the wind and the smells from the engine. Nowadays flying is like a commutertrain - smelly indeed - but not pleasent. Try to catch the history and the joy of the early years flying experiences. Certainly a lot of people have been visiting Airshows- give us your best - recreating the Golden years of flying!

Redux: Long Exposure Challenge finished on Saturday, 09 Oct 2010 Long exposures blur moving objects. Exposures of several seconds can create mysterious light streaks, misty oceans, gossamer cascades or smudges of pedestrians. With the camera in a fixed position, use an exposure of at least three seconds to show a lot of motion.
