Home kitchen in action Challenge finished on Saturday, 26 Mar 2011 Think about an action scene in your home kitchen. Focus on the action, the actual cooking process. This could go from preparing a small one person noodle dish over someone preparing the family dinner to a lively kitchen preparing for the bunch of friends you have over for lunch. Use your imagination and show us your idea/impression of a home kitchen in action! Read the rules below to avoid disqualification. Good luck!
Crowds (read the rules) Challenge finished on Saturday, 26 Mar 2011 Taking a break from the city theme of the series (though the city is a great place for this kind of material). This week we're sharing pictures of crowds. This could be a crowd at the crosswalk or a crowd at a sporting event or anything you want but there must be at minimum of 9 people in the picture OR if that's not the case then the people should fill the frame completely and convey a sense of being cramped...if they don't do this the you'll be DQed.

Filter Effects: Polarizer Challenge finished on Thursday, 24 Mar 2011 Long before digital editors, photographers used filters to create special effects during capture. While not really a special effect, a polizer can be used to intensify blue skys, increase color saturation and eliminate reflections. For this challenge, enter images in which the use of a polarizer gives the image a "Wow" factor that would not occur without using polarizer. PLEASE: ENTER SHOTS WHICH WERE TAKEN WITH A POLARIZING FILER ON THE LENS. DO NOT CREATE THE EFFECT IN PP
Winner: A view of Paris
-Sunset over the Metropolis- (in Sepia Only) Challenge finished on Thursday, 24 Mar 2011 Be creative - use shadows, reflections, silhouttes... Take time to think about the composition, subjects, main subjects, props. I want to see modern skyscrapers. (make sure they are prominent). If it's not to theme or if it doesn't look good, don't submit it. Otherwise I might DQ it.
